(ANS - Madrid) - The Salesian Institute of Atocha was awarded the Sello de Excelencia European EFQM 400 + by the Club of excellence in management. This means that the Salesian educational centre rises in rank and reaches the second level of excellence established by the Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM - European Foundation for Quality Management).
Sellos de Excelenciameans literally "seal of excellence." It is given as a mark of recognition to organizations which strive for excellence in business management, meeting the needs of customers or users, and adapting to changes in the market ahead of the competition.
To achieve this seal, the team coordinating the quality of the Salesian Institute of Atocha had to prepare a report that contained the results achieved in relation to a series of indicators of quality and satisfaction.
The certification company "Bureau Veritas" considered this report and met with the staff of the centre. It also did its own analysis of the structures. Once approved, the Club of Excellence in Management recognized the school as deserving of the "Sello de Excelencia European EFQM 400 +": a recognition that is the result of the evaluation of the entire management of the Salesian educational centre. This includes subsidized and non- subsidized education, the training curriculum, ongoing training and training for work.
The presentation of the Sello de Excelencia took place last Friday 26 September at the auditorium of the Atocha centre. The event was chaired by Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Provincial of the Santiago el Mayor Province, in the presence, among others, of several Salesians, the Regional Secretary of the Catholic Schools of Madrid, Emilio Díaz Muñoz, and the Director of Institutional Relations of the "Bureau Veritas", Enrique Martín Quejido.
