(ANS – Wrocław) – In recent days the journey of Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, the Rector Major, in Poland has continued. After the Krakow Province, the second stage was his visit to the West Poland Province (PLO), with headquarters in Wrocław.

The Rector Major arrrived at the Provincial house on Tuesday evening 16 September. The next morning Fr A.F. Artime met the Salesians of the Province and early in the afternoon the Provincial Council. On this occasion he emphasised the identity of the Salesian and his style of life and invited his confreres to have the face and the heart of Don Bosco.

In the church of Christ the King there was a Mass for all the young people and the members of the Salesian Family, and in his homily the Rector Major invited all present to follow the example and the fidelity of the 5 Poznan martyrs. At the end of the Mass various Salesian Cooperators renewed their promise and the X Successor of Don Bosco met the faithful and chatted with all those present.

Yesterday, 18 September, Fr A.F. Artime paid a visit to the spiritual heart of Poland in Częstochowa, praying in the Marian sanctuary and then meeting for a brief greeting the young confreres in the novitiate of Kopiec.

Then in the afternoon he left for Warsaw.
