(ANS - Rome) - In the short video released today on YouTube ANSChannel, Fr Angel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, indicates what may be the best fruits of this year's bicentennial, for the Salesians, Salesian Family, and members of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM).

"Our intention is not to do grand parties, as if they were fireworks," reiterates the video of Fr Fernández Artime. There are other priorities: the Salesian Congregation is to initiate the path indicated by the General Chapter 27 and live with mystical depth, the attractive and irresistible brotherhood so as to be witness to all.

For the Salesian Family, the Bicentennial should not be an occasion for self-complacency, but an insistence to return to the essentials of Don Bosco.

For youth of the SYM, this anniversary is an opportunity to accompany many other young people in the experiences of life and faith that they have already undertaken.
