(ANS - Rome) - On Thursday, 12 June, the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, with the consent of the General Council, appointed Fr Charles Armand Randimbisoa new Superior of the Mary Immaculate Vice-Province of Madagascar.
Charles Armand Randimbisoa was born on 17 April 1971 at Soatanana. He entered the Salesian Novitiate of Vat on 8 September 1994. Exactly a year later he made his first profession and then his perpetual profession on 29 September 2002 in Fianarantsoa. On 16 May 2004 he was ordained priest.
He was a member of the House Council in the communities of Ambohidratrimo (2005-2006) and Betafo (2006-2010), then returned to Ambohidratrimo in September of 2010 as Rector and Novice Master.
From 2007 to 2009, he was Vocations Director for the Vice-Province if Madagascar.
