(ANS - Madrid) - Lent and Holy Week are very intense times in about 100 Salesian houses in Spain. In recent weeks there have been retreats and retreat days, times of prayer and reflection for teachers and Salesians. Young people will be very involved in Holy Week and Easter celebrations over the next few days. Here are some of the activities planned:

Province of Barcelona

Between 17 and 20 April, the Don Bosco House at Castellnou de Bages will host Young Easter organized by the Salesian Youth Movement  in the Province. Similarly, in the houses for holiday camps at Can Vilalta and Bini Talaiot  there will be Easter for the Family with the motto Revive the Church. This will bring together Christian families who want to experience Easter in an atmosphere of fraternity and community.

Bilbao Province
The Easter 2014 meeting for the province will take place in Somali, La Rioja , during the Easter Triduum, with the motto "¡ Vive!"  It invites families of the Province to live Holy Week in an atmosphere of sharing. Last weekend, in addition, in Logroño,  they celebrated Txikibosco 2014 with the motto Live and be happy. This is an event that brings together boys and girls from various Salesian centres to encourage them to grow personally and to celebrate their  faith in Jesus.

Province of León
Young Easter 2014  will be celebrated during the Easter Triduum at Cambados (Pontevedra). Before that, from 11 to 16 April, the Salesian communities held two retreats at León and Orense.

Province of Madrid
Between Holy Thursday to Easter the Province of Madrid has scheduled as many as three Young Easter events.   Younger children will meet at Arévalo , Ávila, the older ones in La Adrada, Ávila, and the animators and volunteers will be at Mohernando, Guadalajara. The common goal for all of them will be to understand the Passover and live it fully.

Province of Seville
The Young Easter 2014 meeting will take place in various locations: Sanlúcar La Mayor (Seville), San José del Valle (Cadiz), Puebla de la Calzada (Badajoz) , Antequera (Malaga ) and La Orotava (Tenerife). The theme chosen for this year is : "Do not stop dreaming. We belong to Christ." All activities will have a soundtrack,  the hymn for Easter 2014 written by Jose Manuel Pavón and performed by the Coro Rabeta from the Salesian house of Rota.

Province of Valencia
The various Young Easter meetings will take place in the individual Salesian houses. All the meetings will start tomorrow, Holy Thursday, and are aimed at young people aged 17 or more. In some locations, there will also be meetings of Easter for the Family. All the meetings will be centred on the Paschal Mystery and the knowledge of Jesus, each in its own way: in Cartagena the motto is Last Connection; in Elche -Arise and Walk; in Burriana - A Different Life, in Alicante - To tell the tale and leave ; Before you in El Campello; Your face is calling me in Villena; Easter on the way in Zaragoza.
