RMG – More than 100 young Salesians make their profession on the Feast of Mary Help of Christians |
(ANS – Rome) – Next Monday, 24 June, seven young men will make their first profession as Salesians. They come from the Salesian novitiates in Shillong, India, and Kotadeniyawa, Sri Lanka.
At Shillong, where 28 new Salesians made their first profession on 24 May, two young men from the Province of Guwahati, who had started their novitiate a month later than their companions, will make their profession as Salesians of Don Bosco.
Another five young men will make their profession at Kotadeniyawa in Sri Lanka, in the presence of the Superior of the Vice-Province, Fr Nihal Liyanage: all are candidates for priesthood, and all come from the Khasi tribe. Two are of Sri Lankan nationality and the other three Indian.
