(ANS – Rome) – Today the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians is celebrating the birthday of the Superior General, Mother Yvonne Reungoat (Finistère, France, 1945). The Rector Major of the Salesians has added his own greetings in which he speaks about his admiration for her love for Don Bosco and her personal way of interpreting the Salesian charism.

My Dear Mother Yvonne,
I am very happy to contact you, even though through e-mail, but with no less affection and regard  in order to send you my best wishes for a happy birthday.
I do so in my own name and also in that of the Councillors. At Mass this morning I remembered you in a special way. As well as for you, your dear ones and all the Sisters of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, I offered a hymn of praise and thanks to the Lord for the gift of your life, joyfully and generously given to Him in the Institute at the service of the Sisters and of the young throughout the world.
Be assured that I am close to you especially today, since I want to unite myself to your joy and that of the Institute as it celebrates with you and expresses its gratitude.
I have to tell you that you interpret Mother Mazzarello extremely well, both in her love for Don Bosco and in giving your own personal touch to her interpretation of the Salesian charism.
I pray that you may receive  an abundance of the gifts of the Spirit so that you may always have the Light to discern what the Lord wants from you  and the Strength to put His will into practice.
