(ANS – Madrid) – Among the activities organised during World Youth Day (WYD), which takes place next week at Madrid, there will be a Vocations Fair from 16 to 18 August in the city’s Retiro park. Representatives of various vocations in the Salesian Family will be attending the fair.

The Salesian Family will be on stand number 48 from 10am until 10pm, and will provide visitors with posters, brochures, and other audiovisual and printed material on the many vocations which have sprung from the Salesian charism.

The Salesian Family stand will be one of 70 available to Church organisations taking part in the Vocations Fair, "a unique opportunity to see and admire the richness of the Church and its vocations", as the organisers put it.

The stand will also be visited by Mother Yvonne Reungoat, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, who will be there on Tuesday 16 August at 6pm and by Don Pascual Chávez, Rector Major of the Salesians, who will come on Thursday 18 August at 11am. During their visits, as well as talking to those running the stall, Mother Reungoat and Don Chávez will sign the visitors’ book, available to all who visit the stand, and will speak about their own vocations.

These two occasions will be a great opportunity for the members of the Salesians Family, especially those from Madrid, to go to Retiro park and be with the Superiors General of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and all the young people who will be visiting the stand at the time.
