(ANS – Rome) – Today, 11 April, at 11.00 at the Generalate in Rome, the Intermediate Meeting of the General Council of the Salesian Congregation of  assessment and reflection began. It will end on Tuesday 19 April.

The main subject on the agenda is the examination of the  two Salesian Regions of Interamerica and America South Cone.

All the Councillors were present with the exception of Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, Councillor for South Asia at present making the Extraordinary Visitation of the “Mary Help of Christians” Province of India Guwahati (ING); Fr Andrew Wong, Councillor for East Asia -Oceania, making the Extraordinary Visitation of “Saint John Bosco” Province of Vietnam (VIE); Fr Pier Fausto Frisoli, Councillor for Italy-Middle East making the Extraordinary Visitation of the  “Sacred Heart” Special Circumscription of Central Italy (ICC); and Fr. Guillermo Basañes, Councillor for Africa-Madagascar, making the Extraordinary Visitation of the “Mary Immaculate” Vice Province of Madagascar (MDG).
