At the end of March 2010 the Department for Social Communication made an appeal to the European Provinces to produce a logo for the Project for Europe. The proposals sent in were examined by the sdb.org browsers; the results of the straw vote were then presented to the PE Commission meeting in Czestochowa between 16 and 19 July.
The three proposals selected were further refined and re-assessed in view of the III Meeting of the Provincials, this time by the members of the Department for Social Communication and a group from the Commission for the PE and the majority decision was to select the logo of the Direzione Generale with the addition of the words “Project for Europe.”
The decision was made with the intention of illustrating the idea of unifying activities and proposals and, in the first instance, to communciate the idea that the Project for Europe is a commitment of the Congregation.
Fr Filiberto Gonzalez, the Councillor for Communication, gave the presentation at the end of his talk during the III Meeting of the Provincials of Europe, and he thanked those who had responded to the appeal, and made a contribution.
It is possible to download the logo from the sdb.org site in suitable quality for printing.
