Those present were the Delegates from the Provinces of United States, Central America, the Antilles, Mexico Guadalajara, Mexico-Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Perù, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Brazil - 27 the participants.
The Delegates were called together to review the Salesian Social Communication System, improve the Formation Plan for Social Communication in each Province, reflect on the advantages and the opportunities of the web 2.0, to develop some working strategies at Provincial, Inter-Provincial and World Level in addition to creating synergy for the benefit of the Mission through an effective form of collaboration between the Departments for Youth Ministry, the Missions and Communication.
During the meeting it was possible to carry out a good analysis of the work undertaken in each Province, to present some successful experiences and to draw up some more effective aspects of communication. Following a talk by a university teacher there was a review of the web 2.0. There was also an introduction to the question of the marketing of communication and a review of the guidelines provided by the Formation Department regarding the production of a Formation Plan for communication in the Provinces and with practical suggestions for the Delegates.
At the end of the meeting a Team was elected to evaluate the proposals made during the meeting, to produce new working guidelines, and finally facilitate the drawing up of a definitive Formation Plan for the individual Provinces.
