(ANS - Rome) –On 23 December 2015, the Rector Major, with the consent of the General Council, appointed Fr Jean-Paul Mesidor as Superior of the Blessed Philip Rinaldi Vice-Province of Haiti, for the six-year period 2016-2022. The Vice-Province has its headquarters in Port-au-Prince.

Jean-Paul Mesidor was born on 7 July 1967 at Duval, Petion-Ville in the diocese of Port-au-Prince in Haiti. He did his novitiate in Jarabacoa in the Dominican Republic and made his first profession there on 16 August 1992. He was ordained in Port-au-Prince on 9 July 2000.

He has held various positions in the Vice-Province of Haiti: Secretary of the Vice-Province (2001-2010), Delegate of the Vice-Province (2004-2010), Councillor (2007-2010) and Economer from 2013.
