(ANS - Rome) - Collaboration between the Salesians and the energy company Schneider Electric has been going on for many years in various countries of the world, as part of a programme of Professional Training in Solidarity and Energy.  The collaboration between the two institutions will be more evident than ever at the Casa Don Bosco Expo Milano 2015 with the theme "Educating young people, energy for life." Schneider Electric has donated the entire electrical system for the structure.

Casa Don Bosco at Expo Milano 2015 will be powered by an interactive and intelligent system, which will allow energy consumption and saving to be monitored in real-time. This is an energy management system, developed by Schneider Electric, a global company specializing in the field.

In addition to the collaboration in Casa Don Bosco, the company works with the Salesians through the Schneider Foundation in many projects in different parts of the world. These projects will be displayed on panels in Casa Don Bosco. One such example is Education for Growth, which deals with the importance Don Bosco attached to "intelligence of the hands."

Another important project on display is one entitled "Solidarity: giving everyone an opportunity," where the different activities relate to the training and professional integration of young people and the provision of solutions for access to energy. Through the Schneider Foundation and the programme Electric Teachers, over 10,000 young people have been trained since 2009 in India, Latin America (Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica) and Europe, and electricity has been supplied to dozens of structures.

Finally, and of even greater importance to the objective of Casa Don Bosco, there is the project Managing energy: reinvesting resources for young people, where Schneider Electric helps the Salesians to improve energy efficiency in their houses and so save consumption and reinvest the savings in development and solidarity.
