(ANS - Lisbon) - At the end of September and beginning of October, the publisher Edições Salesianas and the Fundação Salesianos of Portugal organized a great educational event aimed at animators, catechists, teachers, educators and pastoral agents. It was entitled E-vangelizar and it aims to improve the participants’ in proclaiming the Good News.
The programme takes place over a long day of training, in which the curriculum is a free choice of the participants. They can choose, on the basis of individual preferences and needs, five different workshops from a total of more than 30, each lasting 75 minutes, spanning different fields, from psychology to music and from liturgy to the arts.
To encourage maximum participation of pastoral agents from across the country, the programme is repeated several times: it took place in Bragança on 20 September. On 4 October it was in Porto and next Saturday, 11 October, it will be at Estoril.
The motto of E-vangelizar 2014 is "Going beyond." It takes up the invitation of Pope Francis to Christians to leave their areas of comfort and try to bring Christian joy to those who do not yet know the meaning of joy or who might have had a wrong understanding of it.
The last E-vangelizar programme in 2012 was attended by about 500 peopleThis year, it expects to reach a total of 1000.
