(ANS - Šaštín)- The Salesians of the Mary Help of Christians Province in Slovakia have the care of the Basilica of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows in Šaštín. They have created a new version of the interactive website dedicated to the sanctuary with information, initiatives and special services such as a virtual tour.
The new version of the internet website was created on the occasion of the Jubilee of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows organized on the initiative of the Slovak Bishops' Conference to mark the 450th anniversary of the first miracle attributed to the intercession of the Virgin Mary in Šaštín. It also marks the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of Our Lady of Sorrows as patron saint of the country by Pope Paul VI.
The new site created by the Salesians provides visitors with readily available information and the opportunity to take part in activities organized at the place of pilgrimage. They can also send short prayer intentions which will be read during Sunday Masses and the congregation will pray for them.
There are also special services for those who, for whatever reason, cannot go in person, such as a virtual tour of the entire sanctuary. The website features photo galleries, videos, texts and recordings of homilies.
