(ANS – Mestre) – There is growing excitement in anticipation of the arrival of the relic of Don Bosco in Triveneto. The Salesians, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the whole Church of Triveneto are preparing to host this major relic from this evening 20 November until 13 December. Twenty-three stages are planned along a route that goes from Mogliano to Conegliano Veneto.

Numerous side events will take place on the days that precede the arrival of the relic in the city and during the visit.  Meetings are scheduled with students and past pupils, solemn celebrations, vigils and pilgrimages to meet the Saint of Youth and get to know him better. Many Bishops or Episcopal Vicars will participate directly in the celebrations.  In some cases they will host the relic in the diocesan cathedral.

Fr Roberto Dal Molin, Superior of the Salesians of the Province of North Eastern Italy, says:  "The pilgrimage of the relic tells us that Don Bosco continues to take care of the young today.  He sacrificed himself on their behalf, went to visit them in their place of work, in shops and factories.  There he addressed a word to one, smiled at another, and left everyone feeling happy. He does the same on this visit to us here in our city.  He shares with us that passion for God that led him to love young people, especially the poorest of them. He invites us go out of our narrow circles and safe comfortable places to become leaders in God’s great and unending dream for his people."
