(ANS – Milan) – The new Province website for Milan Province was launched on the Feast of St Charles Borromeo. “It aims to be a point of reference for anyone around us living by Don Bosco's educational charism. It seeks to reinforce our common commitment to serving the young and makes us part of the Web's digital playground,” the Provincial, Fr Claudio Cacioli said.
The new site, accessible from www.salesianilombardiaemilia.it or also from www.salesiani-ile.it from where you will automatically be re-directed, publishes news from communities, press review on the various works and communications at province level. It also offers a planner for consultation for common events.
Following the Fotocronaca style of ANS a Fotonline section is also planned to display photos of the more important events at local level with a simple caption. The houses of the Province are immediately visible from the “Where are we” section enabling someone to easily find and link with an individual community.
The new Province site is part of a broader rethinking of institutional and informal presence on the web and in social networks by Salesians in the Lombardo-Emiliana Province (which includes Salesian communities in Switzerland and San Marino).
The local SYM site was renewed last year, along with profiles in social networks connected with it: Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. This year it was the turn of the Province channel, also connected to Facebook and Google+.
The idea is to be there in the digital playground in the usual Salesian style.
