(ANS - Santa Cruz) - Hundreds of young Salesian students gathered in Santa Cruz over the weekend 27 to 29 September to reflect on how to put into practice the Gospel message raised by the Pope in Rio de Janeiro - "Go and make disciples all nations. "

Many young college and high school students, including some from La Paz, Cochabamba and Chuquisaca, assembled in the grounds of the Don Bosco school in the city of Santa Cruz.

In Rio de Janeiro the Pope had invited young people to be disciples of the Word of the Lord. "This is the main reason why there are Youth Days. We organize one every two years and this year it is being held here in Santa Cruz," said Fr Juan Aparicio, National Coordinator of Youth Ministry in Bolivia.

Among the activities there were times of prayer and liturgy, time for singing and games, as well as evangelizing trips to the city centre. These took place on the Saturday evening, after the Eucharistic adoration.

In the La Cuchilla area, in the southern part of the city, they staged a musical about the life and work of Don Bosco. "We had moments of joy, worship and Eucharist and the kids interacted well with the leaders," added Father Aparicio.

The collaboration between past pupils of Salesian schools who are still in contact with the Salesians and the present students was greatly appreciated.
