The Congress dealt with Mary’s presence and contribution in education to the faith, helping us to carry out, with fidelity and creativity, the task of evangelizing the world today, 50 years from the Second Vatican Council.
The topic was dealt with from different points of view in talks and workshops. Sister María Dolores Ruiz, FMA, developed the biblical aspect. Fr Antonio Maria Calero, SDB, looked at it from a theological point of view. Sister Maria Luisa Miranda, FMA Councillor for the Salesian Family dealt with the pastoral implications, while Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, approached the topic from a Salesian angle.
The opening ceremony on Friday 31 May was presided over by Archbishop Manuel Ureña Pastor of Saragossa, in the presence of the president of ADMA Mr Tullio Lucca and his wife Simonetta from Turin, and of Fr Cameroni who is world Spiritual Animator of Adma.
