Spain – The young acclaim: Viva Don Bosco! |
Spain – Don Bosco arouses emotion and gratitude |
(ANS – Valencia) – In the Province of "San Giuseppe" of Valencia the relic of Don Bosco has left its mark. From 13th to 31st October, the Urn was taken to visit to all Salesian presences, getting everywhere signs of affection and acceptance. The Provincial, Fr Juan Bosco Sancho, who always knows his way, described the pilgrimage "a gift".
"I met with the past, the present and the future of the Salesian education, in the different locations of our works. - Fr Sancho said at the conclusion of the pilgrimage - I experienced the love and affection for all the Salesians and particularly for Don Bosco. To have among us, in our family and throughout the Church the Saint of Youth was experienced as a spiritual event, festive and joyful. There were a lot of people, especially children and youth, who during these days have met the friend and father who listens and who speaks to the heart. For me it was also an opportunity for spiritual growth to see so many lives, many faces, many hearts who found Christ through the mediation of Don Bosco. I really enjoyed this experience to accompany Don Bosco through the whole Province and I discovered that his spirit makes great all those who believe in his charisma ".
The salute to the relic from the Province of Valencia took place in Zaragoza, where, on the 30th of October, Archbishop Mons. Manuel Ureña Pastor, said at the Cathedral of Pilar: "I cannot thank the Salesians for what they did for the good of young people".
The following day police stopped traffic along the Avenida San Juan Bosco of Zaragoza to allow young people who accompanied the Urn to take it in procession to the Salesian Institute, where over a thousand students, teachers, workers, Salesians and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians were gathered. After a day of celebration, during which, from the smallest to the biggest, all had the opportunity to meet with Don Bosco, the relic was hailed with gestures of gratitude, singing and dancing, as had happened during the pilgrimage to the works of the Province.
