(ANS – Rome) – In the relevant section of the sdb.org some new material is available to assist with the work of preparation for the 27th General Chapter 27: forms for the Moderators of the Provincial Chapters; a schematic presentation of the letter of the Rector Major (AGC n. 413); and a video of the prayer  to Don Bosco suggested for the preparation for the bicentenary of his birth and for the GC27.

In recent days the Moderator of the GC27, Fr Francesco Cereda, has sent to the Moderators of the Provincial Chapters the latest forms: in particular the forms for the minutes of the elections of the Province  Delegates and their substitutes to the GC27 which need to arrives at the GC27 Secretariat by 15 July 2013.

The Formation Department has prepared a presentation of the letter of the Rector Major in which he announced the GC27 “Witnesses to the radical approach of the Gospel” (AGC 413). The file – available in the formats .pps, .odp, e .pdf – is useful for a guided  reading and study of the text, for both individual and community use.

Finally a third resource  is a video version of the prayer suggested by Fr Chávez as preparation for the bicentenary of the birth of  Don Bosco (1815-2015) and for the GC27. The video, has been produced by the Missioni Don Bosco Media Centre; it can be downloaded on a variety of smartphone and tablet and used for personal and for group reflection. The  video prayer to Don Bosco is available in Italian, English and Spanish; it is possible to request from the ANS Office the  international version in order to produce versions in other languages.
