Spain – “Boscovisión”, productions for the world of youth |
(ANS – Ourense) – Yesterday 27 February in Galizia, the III in the series of Spiritual Cinema began. With the motto “Live. Pray, Love, Forgive” the Salesians, Catholic schools in Galizia, EDEBÉ Publishers, the Inter-Diocesan Pastoral Office of Galizia and the Signis Association organised a series of Cineforum on four films. As part of the Spiritual Cinema in Galizia project , it continues until 9 March, and prizes will also be presented to those involved in BoscoVisión productions.
This time for the various age groups the films are: “The secret of Kells”, - “learning to be tolerant and to resolve conflicts”, for children; “The way” - “life as a pilgrimage” for pre-adolescents; “The King’s speech”, - “we all need each other”, for adolescents; and “Men of God”, - witnesses to reconciliation” in the public section. They will be shown in the Salesian Institute theatre in Ourense.
At the same place on Sunday afternoon 4 March, there will be a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Salesian audiovisual productions “BoscoVisión”, during which there will be a preview of the short film entitled “I want to be like...” filmed during 2011 and 2012 with a cast of boys and girls from the Institute, directed by Fr Angel J. Fernández.
On that occasion there will also be the presentation of the “Trota-Oscar 2011” to the actors and actresses, young and not so young who have taken part in the competition for BoscoVisión in 2011. Taking part will be the candidates, their school friends and some personalities from the cinema and entertainment world.
The “Spiritual Cinema Week” in being held in over 40 cities in Spain, in 2 places in Italy and 3 in Latin America. In Galizia it is the third in the series and about 3000 students from different schools are expected and a total of 5000 people overall.
