In organising the Stations of the Cross, Judith Kaidoga, from the third year was responsible for the overall coordination and adapted the traditional prayers and meditations to suit youthful spirituality. In addition, with the help of John Viritia from the second year and the assistance of Sr. Pamela Vecina FMA, Judith chose the complete cast of the actors, musicians and readers who interpreted the Passion of Jesus in a very moving fashion which was appreciated by the young people.
John Aribi, from the first year took the role of Jesus and also in the rehearsals organised those taking the part of the Roman soldiers. The whole performance was so touching that it moved some people to tears.
The “Kruse Rot Bilong” ended in the school gymnasium with a special solidarity initiative also organised by one of the student of the Institute Henry Jacob from the first year. He pursuaded the Student Council to organise a “coin trail for Japan”
Students were encouraged to bring 20-Toea coins which they lined up by class/technology groupings. It was a fun-ending to the religious event and brought out the lesson that Jesus’ offering of him self invites us to do the same - and also raised a significant amount for Japan.
