(ANS – Rome) – There are only a few days to go before the 29th in the series of Salesian Family Spirituality Days begins in Rome, at the Generalate bringing together numerous members of the various Salesian  groups from around the world. The programme is already available on sdb.org.

Between 20 and 23 January 2011 the Salesianum in Rome will play host to these Days. They will be an opportunity to examine at greater depth the message of the Strenna which once again this year Fr Pascual Chávez has sent to the whole Salesian Family. The theme – the vocational nature of life – will be considered in the light of Don Bosco and the gospels with the help of round table discussions, meetings and personal experiences.

Those unable to attend in person will be able to follow what is happening through the use of new technologies of the web and with the collaboration of Missioni Don Bosco in Turin. In fact, for the occasion the site of the Salesian Congregation sdb.org has opened a special section in which it is already possible to see the programme for the Days. As events get under way the site will make other material available, such as the texts of the talks given, photos and other multimedia resources.

At present the section devoted to the Salesian Family Days is available in Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and a version in Slovak will soon be on line.

It will also be possible to follow live and in streaming on www.missionidonbosco.tv two of the highlights of the Days: the talk by Fr Chávez at 09.30 (GMT+1) on Saturday 22, and the concluding Mass on Sunday 23 at 10.00 (GMT+1), being broadcast also on Telepace.
