Poland - The official programme of the VI International Congress of Mary Help of Christians |
Italy – New web site for ADMA |
The International Congress of the members of ADMA has now become a regular event for the various communities of the Association around the world. Since 1988 there have been five: Turin-Valdocco in 1988, on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Don Bosco; Cochabamba (Bolivia) in 1995; Seville (Spain) in 1999; Turin-Valdocco in 2003 on the occasion of the coronation of Mary Help of Christians; and Mexico City in 2007.
The motto for this sixth Congress to be held at the Sanctuary of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, will be “Totus tuus” and through reference to the great Marian devotion of Pope John Paul II to renew the sense of a profound belonging to Mary which inspires the members of the Association.
Marian devotion and specifically to Mary Help of Christians is alive in the Salesian Family following the inspiration of Don Bosco himself, who in the construction of the Basilica Mary Help of Christians in Turin and the spreading of prayer to her expressed his belief that Mary was the one who inspired and sustained the Salesian work and the Family he had founded.
The promotion of the International Congresses of Mary Help of Christians aimed at all the groups of the Salesian Family who recognise in devotion to her one of the charismatic features of the common Salesian spirit, and therefore a way of spreading devotion to Mary Help of Christians according to the spirit of Don Bosco.
In preparation for the International Congress Fr Roberto Carelli, writing in the monthly on-line newsletter of the ADMA, invites all the members of the Salesian Family to be “modelled on Mary, born of Mary and educated by Mary.”
It is possible to book for the VI International Congress of Mary Help of Christians downloading the appropriate form in Italian, English, Spanish or Polish from the site dedicated to the event.
