With the desire to continue bringing the Gospel to the young people, the Salesian Family strongly encouraged by the visit of the remains of Don Bosco and by the message of the Rector Major in his Strenna, gathered together to study ways in which the mission can be shared more effectively remaining faith to the same vocation and charism. The meeting was promoted by the provincial council of the Salesians who welcomed all the various groups at the headquarters of the province.

A moment of prayer opened the intense day of work that was especially meant to reflect on the charism that unites the various groups of the Salesian Family, sharing also their experiences under the sure guide of Don Bosco. Each group of the Salesian Family briefly presented their situation and their more immediate commitments were examined in order to work out the possibility of more effective networking. A moment of sharing concluded the day of activities.

This was the first time in the history of the province “Sacred Hear of Jesus” of Ecuador that the councils of the groups of the Salesian Family met with the Provincial Council, in order to reassure once again the common efforts of the entire Salesian Family towards their work on behalf of poor and abandoned children.
