| Costa Rica – Students of the “CEDES Don Bosco” to take part in the International Science and Engineering Fair |
Led by Fr Mario Rodríguez and accompanied by some Salesians-Cooperators, they worked with enthusiasm in a mission in the “Barrio Los Ángeles” celebrating with the local people the more significant aspects of the Easter triduum.
They began preparing themselves for their mission with the celebration of Palm Sunday. On the following days guided by Fr Rodríguez, individually and collectively they began organising the reflections and the prayer moments for the celebration of the Easter triduum.
Then came the launch of the mission itself, organised by the “Don Bosco Centre” in San Isidro in collaboration with the parish community of the “Barrio Los Ángeles”. They used themes taken from the Rector Major’s Strenna and his follow-up message to the members of the SYM in which he proposed for 2010, that they become “authentic disciples and zealous apostles bringing the Gospel.”
Taking part in the mission in different ways were the EPRE, EJE, ESCOGE groups and the Salesians-Cooperators. Among other things they also visited the elderly in an old peoples’ home close to the Salesian house.
Holy Week and the mission were brought to a close with the Easter Sunday Mass.
