India – “I learnt just how a positive attitude can change someones perception on life” |
The first event, a choral concert, will take place tomorrow 25 March in the church of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome at 17.30. The second, in the evening of 26 March will be a concert for choir, tenor solo and piano. For this in the Auditorium of the Seraphicum, the “Youth Singers”, a choir of young Japanese singers from Tokyo Radiotelevision, will be performing.
The funds collected from the two concerts – “Children for Children” – will be for the benefit of the “Don Bosco” Institute in Salem in the Tiruchy Province which welcomes and assists street children and children infected with HIV/AIDS.
The “Association for South India” was founded in 1997 by Mr and Mrs Catarinella who, following a visit to India in the early ’90s, decided to work for those most in need. The Association is involved in public projects of social concern and collaborates with local organisations for social development, in particular with missionary organisations of the Salesian Provinces in south India.
