(ANS – La Plata) – On 6 and 7 June in the city of La Plata (Buenos Aires), there was the 1st National Meeting of Vocational Training Centres (CFP)  jointly organised by the Argentine Salesian Secretariat - School Sector and the Provincial Projects Offices. The meeting attended by the heads and staff of every CFP in the country had the Topic “The Provincial Educative Plan and the pastoral dimension of the CFP.”

The main speaker was Fr Ángel Miranda SDB, the one behind and the coordinator of the Salesian Net-Work of  Centres of Education and Vocational Training.

In addition to the presentation by the specialist, in the course of the meeting some  significant experiences from some of the centres in regard to their organisation and pastoral dimension were described.

It was possible to hold the meeting thanks to the collaboration of the Argentine Provinces of the Salesians and of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the Belgian NGO “Demos Comide” as part of the project “Technical and Vocational Formation in Argentina: the Salesians faced with an opportunity for change.”
