(ANS – San Luis) – From 2 to 4 May the diocese of San Luis hosted the XXI National Assembly of Youth Ministry, promoted by the Argentinian Episcopal Conference. During the meeting there was a sharing of experiences and of common approaches to Youth Ministry.

54 of the 64 dioceses of Argentina took part in the assembly. The Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) was also there, represented by Julieta Segura from the Bahía Blanca (ABB) Province and Mercedes Baxzos from La Plata (ALP), both of whom are on the National Commission for Youth Ministry, and Analía Jara from the Córdoba (ACO) Province and Juliana Segatori (ABB) from the Permanent Secretariate of the above Commission. There were also great numbers of young leaders, Salesians and Salesian Sisters involved in the Youth Ministry teams of the various dioceses.

In the various ecclesiastical areas of Argentina, the presence and active participation of Salesian youth movements and associations provides a significant contribution to Youth Ministry, brought home by the integration of their coordinators and leaders into the diocesan teams.
