The  centre of spirituality is next to the Sanctuary dedicated to Laura Vicuña at Renca, in the north west  of Santiago, where the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians have a house.

Fr Natale Vitale the Provincial of the Salesians in Chile presided at the Mass for the opening which was concelebrated by several diocesan and Salesian priests. It was attended by quite a good number of the faithful and pilgrims from various parts of Chile who had come to take part in the event which was broadcast live by Radio Maria-Chile.

Before the Mass Fr Vitale blessed the new centre of spirituality and referring to the many young people who would benefit from it said. “It is a set of lungs of spirituality.”

On her part, Sr. Graciela Pinto, Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Chile thanked all those who had made the new centre possible.
