(ANS – Brasilia) – Between 19 and 21 October in the Brazilain capital there has been a National Meeting of the Salesian Network of Social Action (RESAS), organised by the Conference of Salesian Provincials in Brazil (CISBRASIL).
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Salesians, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and some lay people involved in social ministry.
The meeting gave each Province the opportunity to present the various initiatives that were taking place in the social sphere and so give an overview of what was happening at national level and showing the Salesian commitment to work with the poorest communities, particularly in the field of education.
During the days reports were presented on subjects such as: “Roots of social exclusion”, “Public Policies”, “Educational social measures” and an account of the project “Segundo Tempo”.
