(ANS – Tucumán) – The Salesians in Tucumán, Argentina, have begun celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the “Saint John Bosco” parish.

During the whole month of September various events are planned, religious, cultural and those aimed at the family.

The parish, offficially  founded in 11 March 1932, was dedicated to Saint Francis of Sales since Don Bosco had not yet been canonised. In the course of its history, this Salesian parish has seen the setting up of two others  within its former boundaries.

As well as a mass thanking God for the 75 years of the parish planned for Sunday 9 September other cultural and sporting events are on the programme including a family bike ride and the  performance of the musical “Don Bosco” by the members of the Salesian Youth Movement both on 30 September.
