Primary education in the target area is a particular focus. The project addresses the issue of illiteracy/school dropout as well as its root causes in the village communities. Children out of school, those involved in grazing cattle, as well as non-starters in education are given attention through the various interventions.  To facilitate the realisation of such objectives, about 15 villages will be assisted with the construction of community halls. Multi purpose halls are for the use of the villages for their programmes, as a study facility for the children, and for conducting Adult Literacy classes, programmes by and for Self-Help Groups, relevant skill training.

One such multi purpose community hall was inaugurated on 23rd July in Bandahalli village, some 6 Kms from Yadgir. The hall has provision for tailoring classes for village youth. Currently 30 young people are part of the tailoring classes. There are evening class for around 40 children.
