(ANS - Seville) - The Spanish Province of Mary Help of Christians has had its Quality Certificate renewed, according to the UNE-EN ISO 9001: 2008, both for the Provincial House and for each of the thirty-one Salesian schools in Andalusia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands. Certification is given by the Eduqatia group.

At the start of the new school year, Eduqatia, the group responsible for the external control of the Salesian schools, reported that according to the results of the audit conducted in March and April 2015, and considering the plan of corrective actions submitted by the Salesian Province, it has proceeded with the renewal of the certification of the Quality Management System according to UNE-EN ISO 9001: 2008, with the number 162/06, for the Provincial House and for each of the thirty-one Salesian schools in Andalusia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands.

It should be noted that among the institutions controlled by Eduqatia the Salesian Province is the one with the largest number of centres that have been awarded the Certificate of Quality, which it achieved for the first time in 2006.

Recognition is given for compliance with legal requirements, in particular those of ISO, for organizations with a number of schools and those specific to each centre. External and internal audits are carried out annually, and every three years they are assessed for renewal.

This renewal is possible due to the work of the teachers who implement the recommendations given in the system, and of the management team of each centre, and the supervision of the quality coordinators and internal auditors.

David Domíguez, quality manager for the schools of Andalusia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands explains that the benefits of this certification are based on unity in the management that "helps the schools to be up to date in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements. It requires all centres, to reflect, work, and enrich themselves mutually and in common. The tools offered by the system provide a wealth of valuable information on the operation and management of the centres, all aimed at continuously improving and increasing the level of satisfaction of students and parents."

The next R3S1 / 162/06 assessment is expected in March-April 2016.
