(ANS - Kathmandu) - During the earthquake of 25 April 2015 and the subsequent aftershocks, many of the schools in Nepal were destroyed. Many students had nowhere to study. The Nepal Don Bosco Society decided to support the education of children by providing buildings and distributing the necessary materials to students.

The first step was the setting up of Temporary Learning Centres. Now, thanks to the efforts of students of vocational training courses specially prepared for this initiative, they have already been completed twenty of these Centres.

As well as building these Temporary Learning Centres, the Nepal Don Bosco Society is also engaged in the distribution of uniforms and school materials.

In this way many children were able to return to school, where, in addition to receiving the necessary education, they have the opportunity to re-establish habits and routines that help them overcome the trauma of the earthquake.

On ANSChannel  there is a video illustrating the progress already made.
