(ANS - Milan) - Art, communication, family and business: these are the four key words that sum up the second week of life in CASA DON BOSCO. During these seven days the spotlight was on the Salesian educational method looked at from different points of view in order to have a global understanding of its immense significance.

Dominating the scene in recent days was the initiative "Communicate to Educate" organized by Multidea, a company formed with the intention of offering jobs to talented young people and promoting practices and products of excellence in the area of education.

The initiative seeks to study the links between communication and the education system in the digital age. The presentation was opened by psychologist Ilaria Benedetti from the Centre of Educational and Cognitive Enhancement.  This is a Salesian undertaking engaged in identification, assessment and cognitive enhancement of children with learning disabilities and developmental disharmony.

The presentation continued with Sister Catherine Cangià, FMA, media educator and foundress of the Centre of Educational and Cognitive Enhancement.  She spoke about a project entitled "I eat well in order to grow well." This is a method of learning aimed at children from 0 to 6. It seeks to make their relationship with food both positive and profitable, combining traditional games and interactive multimedia tools.

On Tuesday 12 May, Sister Cangià was joined by Michela Poss, professor of the Salesian University Institute of Venice (IUSVE), who spoke on the topic of cyberbullying. She focussed on concepts such as prevention, listening and an educative relationship, saying that educators should not ignore or fear online communication, but try to discover the ability to make it always educative, imparting meaningful messages in terms of skills for life.

The Communicate to Educate initiative promoted by Multidea will end tomorrow, Friday 15 May with a presentation of books and media created by Multimedia for young people and children.

The main event on Saturday 16 May will be one entitled: “Without children. In every young person there is a point of good that is accessible: some examples.” On Sunday the emphasis will be on art thanks to The world does not provide food for all, a project organized by the Salesian School of Don Bosco in Verona. There will be three videos and a display in the exhibition hall which will help the visitor to reflect on the meaning of the messageFeed the body, educate the person and cultivate the dream.
