(ANS - Milan) - The Salesian Family has opened the pavilion "Casa Don Bosco" in Expo Milano 2015, on 1 May at 10.00AM. The Salesian presence at the Expo wants to say that for the sustainability and the future of planet, there are two winning bets: the choice of education and the prominent role of young people. Don Bosco said that "young people are the most precious and delicate part of human society."

The inauguration took place in the presence of Fr Fabio Attard, Councillor for Youth Ministry, Fr Claudio Belfiore, CEO of the Rector Major for Expo 2015, Sr. Giuseppina Barbanti, FMA, of the Coordination Group of the Project Casa Don Bosco, and Ercole Lucchini, Project Manager.

The Salesian Family has designed the pavilion like a house, a reassuring place, a place to stay, even only for rest, a kind of refuge. A house that, in the year of the Bicentennial of the birth of Don Bosco, we have put in motion many - past pupils, friends and sympathizers of Don Bosco and the Salesian houses- who decided to make a collection for the construction of CASA DON BOSCO. It is a sustainable home that, once the event will be over, the building will be destined for the children of Ukraine so that it becomes a school and a place of education to life, which represents a life experience for many young people.

Meanwhile, after the opening day, they began the daily events that animate and enliven the CASA DON BOSCO at the Expo: on Saturday, May 2, until today, Monday May 5th, are 4 days when the Salesian Family describes and illustrates in a concrete way the components of the preventive system of Don Bosco. Today the Salesian presence in the United Nations Forum will be deepened, with the testimony, among others, of Father Thomas Brennan, SDB, the Salesian representative at the United Nations in New York; and Sr. Maria Grazia Caputo, representative of the Office of Human Rights of the International Institute of Mary Help of Christians, in Geneva.
