(ANS - Cochabamba) - Nine educational institutions paid a tribute of thanks to the Archbishop Emeritus of Cochabamba, Tito Solari, SDB for his commitment to the education of young people. According to the newspaper Opinion.com, there were many words of thanks and memories offered by the authorities of the San Pablo Catholic University of Bolivia, by the National Association of Private Schools and the Educational Community of the Local Church.
At the ceremony, the group Aysana provided the music and many students were present from various educational centres including Don Bosco, La Salle, Maryknoll, Sucre and Santiago.
"The educational institutions of Cochabamba express affection, appreciation and gratitude to this man who embodied education. He has been is a gift for the Church and an example for all," said the Rector of the Catholic University of Bolivia, Alfonso Vía Reque. "A light in education" said Germán Rico, President of the National Association of Private Schools.
Archbishop Solari, for his part, not only expressed his gratitude for these honours, but also wanted to leave a message to young people: "You are the reason of my life. You give meaning and energy and warmth to my heart," said the Archbishop Emeritus. He invited the young people not only to study, but also to form their conscience, a precious treasure. It is the place where you meet God and receive the light to recognize right from wrong.
